Singapore - The Merlion Effect
Merlion, the creature with the head of a lion and body of a fish, is the face of Singapore. I went to Merlion on my second day in Singapore. If you are going by metro train then get down at Raffles Place or catch a cab and say 'The Merlion'. It is located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Singapore. Being a major tourist spot the place is full all the time. Best time to go would obviously be late afternoon.
There is a Starbucks nearby where you can chill out. The highrises you can see behind the Merlion make the financial heart of the city; Raffles Place.
When people go to the Taj Mahal they like to get a picture as if they are holding the tip of the monument. Here people want to pose as if the water from the Merlion is going straight into their mouth. I call it the 'Merlion Effect'.It is located near the sea which makes it a tourist's delight. It is also located on the side of the The Marina Bay Formula-1 Circuit. A must see place if you are in Singapore.

Singapore Series
The first time I went to Singapore was in September last year. I took hundreds of images with my Canon Powershot A 580. Did not post many images after I came back. Starting today, I would post some 15-20 selected images which will capture what Singapore was like to me. In brief, its an experience and every one should see it once.
No image is complete without a context. Every photograph has a story beyond images. I would tell you about that as well!
See Singapore from my eyes!
